Plagiarism & AI Policy

At Ethical Publication House, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of academic and literary integrity. To preserve the originality and ethical credibility of our publications, we strictly prohibit plagiarism in all forms and apply clear guidelines on the acceptable use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools.

1. Plagiarism Policy

Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

  • Copying text, data, or ideas from another source without proper citation.

  • Paraphrasing substantial parts of someone else's work without acknowledgment.

  • Submitting someone else’s manuscript, in whole or in part, as your own.

Types of Plagiarism

  • Direct Plagiarism: Word-for-word copying without quotation marks or citation.

  • Self-Plagiarism: Republishing the author's own previous work without disclosure or permission.

  • Mosaic Plagiarism: Borrowing phrases and structure from a source without proper citation.

  • Accidental Plagiarism: Failing to cite sources properly due to oversight or ignorance.

Screening Process

All submitted manuscripts are screened using reputable plagiarism detection software. If plagiarism is detected:

  • Minor instances: The author will be asked to revise the content and cite sources properly.

  • Major or deliberate plagiarism: The manuscript will be rejected and the author may be blacklisted from future submissions.

Consequences

Confirmed plagiarism may result in:

  • Immediate rejection or retraction of the manuscript

  • Notification to the author's institution (in academic cases)

  • A permanent ban from future submissions

2. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Usage Policy

We recognize that AI tools can support authors in various stages of writing and editing. However, their use must be transparent and ethical.

Acceptable Use of AI

Authors may use AI tools for:

  • Grammar and spell-checking

  • Language enhancement or paraphrasing with human oversight

  • Generating content ideas (with original rephrasing)

  • Formatting or reference management

Unacceptable Use of AI

We do not accept:

  • AI-generated content submitted without significant human input and original authorship

  • Fabricated references, data, or quotations

  • Submitting AI-written manuscripts as original work without disclosure

Disclosure Requirement

If AI tools were used in the writing process, authors must include a brief disclosure in their submission (e.g., “This manuscript utilized AI tools for language refinement but all content was originally authored by the submitting individual(s).”).

Verification

Submissions may be reviewed for AI-generated content using detection software. Manuscripts suspected of being predominantly AI-written without appropriate attribution or human authorship will be rejected.

Commitment to Ethical Publishing

By submitting to Ethical Publication House, authors affirm that their work is original, properly cited, and ethically produced. We reserve the right to take corrective actions if these principles are violated.
